Summary

Toy airplane, constructed from wood scraps salvaged from a professional carpenter. It was made by an 11 year old boy from the Ikenwen village, Tiznit Province, in 2011.

It is part of a group of traditional toys collected in the Anti-Atlas area of Morocco by Belgium Socio-cultural Anthropologist Jean-Pierre Rossie, during the period 2005-2011.

Physical Description

Toy aeroplane, made of offcuts of timber, roughly cut and joined with nails. Comprises main fuselage, pair of wings, propellor on front of fuselage, and elevated tail with propellor.
