Summary

Description of the Massey-Ferguson foremen's dinners.

In 1955, Massey-Ferguson bought out the Sunshine Harvester Works. The company introduced many new initiatives, including an annual foremen's dinner which lasted up until 1972-1973. The dinners were organised to stimulate morale amongst managers and to reduce barriers between factory foremen and management. The event was organised by a sub-committee made up of members from various departments. Usually up to 100 employees attended the event which was held in the company canteen.
