Description of the Massey-Ferguson foremen's dinners.

In 1955, Massey-Ferguson bought out the Sunshine Harvester Works. The company introduced many new initiatives, including an annual foremen's dinner which lasted up until 1972-1973. The dinners were organised to stimulate morale amongst managers and to reduce barriers between factory foremen and management. The event was organised by a sub-committee made up of members from various departments. Usually up to 100 employees attended the event which was held in the company canteen.

Ray Browne, Norm Gooding and Ken Porter (former Sunshine Harvester Works employees), personal recollections held at Museum Victoria, September and October 2002.
