Summary

Biography of Bert Craddock who worked for the Sunshine Harvester Works in the Sheet Metal Department from 1907-1961.

Bert Craddock began working for Sunshine Harvester Works as an apprentice in 1907. Soon after, Bert gained employment in the factory's Sheet Metal Shop - a department he worked in throughout his 54 year career with the company.

Despite a two-month absence from the factory as a result of the Great Depression, Bert worked consistently for the Sheet Metal Shop. He spent ten years as the department's foreman before retiring in December 1960 at the age of 70. An avid fisher, Bert was an active member of the company's angling club. Upon his retirement, Bert received plastic kitchenware, an electric frying-pan, table knives and other household items.
