This branch opened at 103 Abbot Street Cairns in 1938 with Mr W. Thompson as manager. He transferred from Brisbane. Mr W.R. Dunn was in charge of the Photofinishing Laboratory. The Abbot Street site was leased from A.J. Draper Pty. Ltd.
