Summary

Watercolour illustrations (D230, D231) of a male and female Imperial Jezebel Butterfly, Delias harpalyce [originally as Pieris (Thyca) harpalyce], by Arthur Bartholomew, 25 July 1861. This work was finally published as Plate 9 in The Prodromus of the Zoology of Victoria by Frederick McCoy.

This print forms part of the much larger Prodromus Collection. Many of the original illustrations in the collection informed the production of the two volume work 'The Prodromus of the Zoology of Victoria', the first major publication of the National Museum of Victoria.
