Summary

Sample of Stipa tenacissima - esparto grass. This was collected and prepared by T.N.Mukharji as part of his work for the Indian Botanical Gardens. It was donated to the Museum by the Indian Government, Calcutta in 1887.

Physical Description

Length of plaited, straw-coloured grass, folded and housed in a plastic bag. A Museum label is included in the bag, on which the name of the specimen is handwritten in black ink.
