Summary
Leaflet advertising a March for Justice at the State Library on 30 August 2002, which was organised by the Refugee Action Collective.
The Refugee Action Collective grew out of a national grassroots protest movement in response to the treatment of refugees and mandatory detention. First established in 2000, it gained momentum during the Tampa crisis in August 2001. This leaflet illustrates the ongoing significance of the Tampa crisis as a symbol of the refugee debate and its continuing resonance one year later.
Physical Description
Single page leaflet with printed bold black text and a black and white image of the Tampa out and sea and a group of people in an inflatable rubber boat on the beach.
