Container of Morny June Roses Bath Dusting Powder, manufactured by Morny, London, circa 1910.
Morny was a pharmacy and perfumery established by the English chemist Sidney F. Goss in the early 1900s. The business changed name several times and was later known as Freres Morny and de Morny. It was at its trading peak in perfumes during the 1920s.
Container is one of an assortment of unctions the donor found in various relatives' cupboards.
Physical Description
Cylindrical container of talcum powder. Container is made of cardboard, the exterior is dark brown, there is a white label on the top of the lid featuring a print of a floral cartouche bearing text of product and manufacturer details. Circular, cream coloured, wool powder puff is stored within the container, it rests on a divider above the powder contents.
