Lithographic proof, single colour ((black) of a young female Australian Fur-seal, Arctocephalus pusillus doriferus, by Ludwig Becker. This work was finally published as Plate 31 in The Prodromus of the Zoology of Victoria by Frederick McCoy, the then Director of the National Museum of Victoria.
McCoy originally intended publishing some of his Prodormus works in the Memoirs of the National Museum of Victoria.
