Summary

Small cloth-covered metal badge or button, with two red white and blue ribbons, commemorating Empire Day 1915.

Empire Day was first celebrated in Australia in 1904, on 24th May, Queen Victoria's birthday. This badge, purchased perhaps at a fund-raising event in 1915, indicates the Imperial feeling linked with Australia's participation in World War I.
