Summary

Black plastic framed certificate of appreciation awarded to Kodak Australasia by the Victorian branch of the Heart Foundation in recognition of Kodak's support during Heartweek (April 28 - May 3 2003). This highlights Kodak's wider philanthropic activities in the Victorian community.

This certificate is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

Physical Description

Black plastic frame with glass cover. Certificate is white cardboard a red border and Heart Foundation logo at the centre top. The text is black except for the word Heartweek which is red and Kodak Australasia which is white on a red block background. It has been signed in blue pen at the bottom. There are four metal corner brackets and four metal hanging brackets with a chip board backing.
