Summary

Framed certificate from the State Training Board of Victoria to Kodak Australasia, listing Kodak's scope of registration as a registered private provider of vocational education and training. Kodak provided the Operative Certificate in Chemical Plant Skills, the Certificate in Minilab Systems Operation and the Course in being a Trainer for Minilab Systems Operation. Signed on 18 November 1994, this certificate was valid to 30 November 1996.

This certificate is part to the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

Physical Description

Black painted wooden frame with silver painted inner frame border and a glass cover. Certificate is cream cardboard with a blue border and inside this is a thinner orange border. There is a blue and orange State Training of Victoria logo in the upper right corner. Text is in black and blue. There are six small black painted metal brackets holding the plywood backing in place. There is a black painted metal hanging fitting at the centre of the top verso. The plywood backing board has a woodgrain laminate and a fold out stand attached with a metal hinge.
