Summary

Framed certificate awarded by Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd to the Legal Department of Kodak Australasia for the success of the Kodak Quality Day 1994 through their contribution of a display titled 'Why a Legal Check-up is Good for your Corporate Health'. Kodak Australasia was the inaugural winner of the Australian Quality Prize, under the leadership of Kodak Managing Director Ed Woods.

Kodak Australasia manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to the Australasia region, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

This certificate is part of the Kodak Heritage Collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Physical Description

Card certificate in a frame. Black plastic frame with gold painted outer frame border and a glass cover. Certificate is made from white card with blue flecks and has a printed black triple line border. There is a watermark of a blue globe and black mortar board cap and degree below a title bar of grey and yellow. There is a yellow and red Kodak logo at left and a black Australian Quality Prize logo at right near the bottom. Text is in black and blue. There are six small black painted metal brackets holding the textured, black plastic backing in place. There is a black painted metal hanging fitting at the centre of the top verso and the frame is held together with two metal connectors at each corner.
