This type of rheostat was used to adjust the filament voltage of valves in radios in the 1920s, also used for volume control.

Physical Description

A black plastic knob with metal pointer mounted on a circular plastic bracket. The box is square shaped and made from plain cardboard with two labels stuck on two sides of the lid and a black stamp print on the base. Inside are two sheets of paper with instructions and drawing for a drilling template for mounting the rheostat.
