Summary
Pentode used in World War Two (1939-1945) radar equipment.
This valve was designed for operation at frequencies up to 250 MHz. 6.3 V indirectly heated cathode.VR136 was the RAF designation for valve type EF54.
The VR54 pencil marking on the valve is incorrect; this valve is not equivalent to a VR54, the inscription may have been intended to be EF54.
Because the valve does not have a CV code, it was presumably made before 1942.
Manufacturer: unknown but probably Mullard, England
Physical Description
Metal tubular can swaged onto 9 pin lock-in style base.
