Summary
Photograph of Hotel Cosmos, located in Punta Arenas owned by Juan Toth y Cia. Taken by Australian Anthropologist Sir Walter Baldwin Spencer sometime between April 13th and May 4th, 1929. He and his companion, Jean Hamilton stayed at the hotel during this period whilst securing supplies and making arrangements to enter into Chile for what became his last expedition. He died only a few months after this was taken, on Hoste Island. [Duplicate at XP 8496]
