Alick Jackomos' family began to immigrate to Australia from the Greek island of Kastellorizo at the turn of the century. Alick was born in Carlton, he married Merle Morgan, of the Yorta Yorta people in 1951. Together, Alick and Merle have been very involved campaigning for Aboriginal rights.
