Summary
Sample of Vigna catjang (Leguminosae) - black eye peas. This was collected and prepared by T.N.Mukharji as part of his work for the Indian Botanical Gardens. It was donated to the Museum by the Indian Government, Calcutta in 1887.
Physical Description
Glass jar, cylindrical in shape, sealed with a black plastic screw lid. Contains numerous dried beans, light brown in colour with a dark spot. A Science Museum of Victoria label is adhered to the outside of the jar, on which the specimen name is handwritten in black ink.
