Summary
Sample of Mesua ferrea (Guttiferae) flowers. This was collected and prepared by T.N.Mukharji as part of his work for the Indian Botanical Gardens. It was donated to the Museum by the Indian Government, Calcutta in 1887.
Physical Description
Glass jar, cylindrical in shape, sealed with a black plastic screw lid. Contains dried flowers that are brown with pink tinges in colour. Two Science Museum of Victoria labels are adhered to the outside, on which the specimen and collection names are handwritten in black ink.
