Summary
Sample of Croton Tiglium seeds. This was collected and prepared by T.N.Mukharji as part of his work for the Indian Botanical Gardens. It was donated to the Museum by the Indian Government, Calcutta in 1887. Used for medicinal purposes. This was exhibited at the 1888 Intercolonial Exhibition.
Physical Description
Cylindrical glass jar containing oval, dark brown seeds and sealed with a glass stopper. Three paper labels are adhered to the jar - two printed white Science Museum of Victoria labels, with handwritten inscriptions in black ink, and an off-white label on which the name of the specimen is handwritten.
