A miniature silver medal mounted as part of the Rev. O.W. Birch M.C. miniature group. The obverse features the coijoined crowned busts of EdwardVII and Queen Alexandra, wearing Coronation robes and facing left. The reverse bears the crowned Imperial cypher ER VII above the date of the coronation 26 June 1902. The edge is plain

Significance
Rev. Birch was awarded a bronze Coronation medal, 6054 were issued to selected NCOs and other ranks who took part in the coronation parade. Silver medals were only awarded to senior officials, serving officers and higher dignatories (but miniatures may not have been available except in silver).
