Summary
Sporting plaque presented to Pte Jack Leon Gaborit, service number 1578, 8th Battalion, A.I.F. circa 1917. It was donated by his widow in 1986. She wrote 'He told me it was made from a Rhymn's [sic] bell.' (7/4/1986)
Private J. L. Gaborit, 8th Battalion, A.I.F., was born in 1894 and died in 1980. He served in Gallipoli & France, 1915-1918. Gaborit was a member of the V.D.C. (Home Guard) during World War II, 1939-1945.
