The medal was established by Frederick Augustus, Duke of Nassau on 23 December 1815. It was awarded to soldiers who served in Nassau during the Battle of Waterloo.
Obverse Description
Bust of Friedrich August Herzog Zu Nassau facing right.
Reverse Description
Victory placing a laurel wreath on the head of a Roman warrior. Inscription reads 'Den Nassauischen Streitern B.E.Y. Waterloo. Den 18 Juni 1815.'.
