Order of George I silver commemorative cross created by King Constantine I.
The order was made "in honour of the memory of his father on 16 January 1915. The dates are those of the reign of King George I and the establishment of the Order. The medal was intended to honour non-commissioned officers and soldiers".
Obverse Description
Cross and wreath surmounted by a crown with a central medallion bearing the text in Greek 'My Strength and Love of the People' that encircles the crowned cipher of King George I, a greek letter G mirrored and the Roman numeral 'I'. Bears traces of gilding and is suspended on original burgundy ribbon.
Reverse Description
Dates of reign of George I '1863-1913' with the date the medal was awarded, '1915' in the middle.
