Summary
Serbian gilt bronze bravery medal featuring Milos Obilic, circa 1918.
Medal was established on 12 July 1913 by King Peter I, the last king of Serbia, and was awarded to soldiers for outstanding acts of courage whilst in battle.
Milos Obilic was a Serbian medieval knight who was considered a hero for his acts of bravery.
Obverse Description
Profile bust of Milos Obilic in armour wearing a winged helmet. Suspended from faded red ribbon. Inscription of his name.
Reverse Description
Cross pattée and crossed swords behind a circular wreath medallion with inscription that translates in English to 'For Bravery'.
