Calender wall hanging, dated 1978. Designed by John Rodriquez, an influential Australian textile designer from the 1950s to 1970s. Screen printed by hand.
Rodriquez began making wall hanging calendars around 1966. In 1970, the Chadstone Progress noted that they 'are more in demand each year, particularly as Christmas gifts'. They were described as a 'popular accessory for the kitchen - useful as well as decorative' (1/7/1970, p.12).
