Summary
Red, machine pressed brick with a frog on one side. Made by Redfern in Brunswick, Victoria. According to a research paper, W. Redfern had works at Weston Street in 1868 to 1885, and in Barkly Street East from 1872 to 1887. The same source gives J. Redfern as a brickmaker at McDougall Street from 1890 to 1895.
Donated by Myles Whelan when his family scrap merchant and demolition company, Whelan the Wrecker, went into receivership in 1991.
