Summary
'The Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy' is a computer game on one 3½ inch floppy disk contained in a box with booklet cover and clear window to hold a disk and black-out glasses used in the game. It was introduced in 1984 for the Apple II, Macintosh, Commodore 64, Amiga, Atari 8-bit, Atari ST and the IBM PC.
This was collected as an example of one of the first games for the first model of the Macintosh computer.
The software game is based on the science fiction comedy series 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' that debuted as a radio comedy broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in 1978.
Part of a representative collection of hardware, software, trade literature and promotional material that documents the history of the Apple company, and its contribution to, and impact on the computer industry and society.
Physical Description
Box with booklet (26 pages). Part of the box has a clear plastic section that contains a 3 1/2 inch disk, paper black-out glasses, six paper objects, two plastic packets of space material and a lapel badge.
