Summary

Unopened box of ten 3½ inch double sided high density floppy disks. These are used for data storage.

The prototype of the first Macintosh was developed using a 5¼" Twiggy Disk drive (named after the British fashion model of the 1960s). However, late in the development process, Apple instead adopted the Sony 3½" disk drive, which used a single-sided version of the floppy disks in this box set, which had a data capacity of 400k.

Part of a representative collection of hardware, software, trade literature and promotional material that documents the history of the Apple company, and its contribution to, and impact on the computer industry and society.
