Summary
This magazine cutting was amongst a large number of sympathy letters sent to his trainer and part owner Harry Telford after Phar Lap died in April, 1932. The Telford family retained the letters, and they were donated to the museum in the 1990s.
Physical Description
Square piece of white glossy paper roughly cut from a magazine. Printed on one side is a photograph of a mare and foal in a fenced yard. On the back is printed part of a photograph of a large group of people at a ferry terminal in New Zealand.

Bobbie No 2/ Entreaty, dam of Phar Lap, with a foal, full-brother to the champion racehorse, photographed at the dispersal sale of the/ Kaituna Stud, the property of the late Mr. A.F. Roberts, at Christchurch, on Easter Monday. The mare and foal were/ purchased for 1500 guineas by Mr. F.A. Armstrong, of Christchurch. Night Raid, the sire of Phar Lap, was passed in at/ 2500 guineas.
