Poster representing the Central Australian Aboriginal Media Association (CAAMA), an Aboriginal owned company, whose objective is the social, cultural and economic advancement of Aboriginal peoples. CAAMA promotes Aboriginal culture, language, dance, and music while providing training, employment and income generation for Aboriginal people. The Association began operations in 1980 and it was the first Aboriginal group to be allocated a broadcasting license. CAAMA stimulates cultural pride in Aboriginal communities and informs the broader populations of the richness and diversity of Indigenous peoples.
