Summary

Rose stereograph titled "The Great War - Reconstructing a Bridge Over the Somme, Near Peronne", during World War I. One in a series of 32 stereographs dating from the early 20th century. Peronne saw military action for most of World War I, from August 1914 when it was first occupied by the German Army. It was recaptured by the 2nd Australian Division on 2 September 1918.
