Opened in 1990 Brambuk Cultural Centre was created as a place to document, recover, preserve and promote the culture of Aboriginal communities connected with the Grampians region, known as Gariwerd. The organisation is Aboriginal owned and operated, providing employment, training and a source of pride to local Indigenous communities. A tourist attraction, Brambuk plays an important role in educating the wider community about Aboriginal culture unique to the area.
