Summary
Helix Express (first released in 1984) was an early database for use on the Macintosh Computer.
The donor, an optometrist specialising in contact lenses, used Helix, Double Helix and later Helix Express as a patient database, which included a recall/reminder letter function. It was eventually replaced by faster dedicated optometric practice software running under Microsoft Windows.
Part of a representative collection of hardware, software, trade literature and promotional material that documents the history of the Apple company, and its contribution to, and impact on the computer industry and society.
