The poster is one of a series promoting Indigenous people and culture produced by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission (ATSIC). ATSIC was a Commonwealth statutory authority and the peak representative body for Indigenous people in Australia. Active between 1990 to 2005, it was responsible for administering many programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
