Description of Content
Girl playing cards with her mother and her grandfather around folding card table in lounge room. This photograph shows Debra Sheldon, playing '500' or another card game, with her mother Gloria and her grandfather Chris Lancaster. The adults may have simplified '500' to make it easier for her to play. She was probably about 8 years old. They played cards a lot in their house, as this was before they had a television. Gloria and her husband Arthur taught Debra how to play cards at the age of 7. This photograph was taken in her grandparent's home in Preston West, 1965.
