Summary
Flyer issued by the Honorable Arthur A Calwell MHR, Minister for Immigration, on 17 January 1949. Despite his often strict interpretation of the White Australia Policy, Arthur Calwell was a friend of the Gung family and assisted them with immigration matters. The Gung family collection documents their experiences of immigrating and living in Australia from the 1920s to the 1960s and the gradual easing of the White Australia policy.
