Summary

Letter from Andrew Fisher, Prime Minister of Australia to H. V. McKay concerning the 1911 strike. Fisher says: "I should like to meet you in reference to the harvester industrial dispute. The reason for this intervention is a reasonable hope that a settlement on fair terms is possible." Dated 24 February 1911.

The Australian operations of this company were originally founded by Hugh V. McKay in the 1890s. The McKay collection is regarded as one of the most significant industrial heritage collections in Australia.
