Summary
Prayer book, which belonged to Georgina Wieser (nee Flugel). Georgina was born to a staunch Lutheran family, who were described as being Franconians first, Bavarians second and Germans last. She married Heinrich Wieser in 1923 in Bozen (Bolzano), South Tyrol. She migrated to Australia in February 1951 with her husband and two children. Just five months after their arrival in Australia she passed away from illness, devastating her family. The Wieser family's migration experience, is one of statelessness and displacement, both during World War II and afterwards, and of continual movement and fracturing of the family upon their arrival in Australia.
