Summary
Holy Communion certificate received by Claire French (nee Wieser) in Bozen in 1933. It was brought to Australia by the family when they migrated from Germany in 1951. Claire was born in South Tyrol, of German ethnicity, she spent four years at school in Italy so she could inherit the family property. The Wieser family's migration experience, is one of statelessness and displacement, both during World War II and afterwards, and of continual movement and fracturing of the family upon their arrival in Australia.
Physical Description
Large cream coloured paper certificate, with coloured picture of children carrying candles.
