Summary
The image is from an album of Alfred Thomas Ozanne entitled "Souvenir of the visit of the Federal Parliamentary Party to the Northern Territory April-May 1912". It shows the camp of the Party beside the Daly River and on the opposite bank cattle are being rounded up by stockmen.
Alfred Thomas Ozanne was the Federal Member for Corio in the House of Representatives from 1910 to 1913 and was presumably amongst the Party.
Physical Description
Black and white photograph adhered to Album (XP16239). Photo of a large group of men standing or sitting around a campfire with food containers and bottles etc. laid out on cloth on the ground, and several empty horse-drawn buggies beside them.
Significance
The album and its images with captions provide a unique record and document of the visit of the Federal Parliamentary Party to the Northern Territory in 1912.
