Summary
The image is from an album of Alfred Thomas Ozanne entitled "Souvenir of the visit of the Federal Parliamentary Party to the Northern Territory April-May 1912". It shows members of the Party inspecting the Grenadilla crop (a passionfruit) on the Thomas and Roberts plantation two miles upstream from the landing on the Daly River.
Alfred Thomas Ozanne was the Federal Member for Corio in the House of Representatives from 1910 to 1913 and was presumably amongst the Party.
Physical Description
Black and white photograph adhered to Album (XP16239). Photo of a small group of men looking at Grenadilla vines and fruit grown on the Thomas and Roberts' plantation on the Daly River, two miles above the landing.
Significance
The album and its images with captions provide a unique record and document of the visit of the Federal Parliamentary Party to the Northern Territory in 1912.
