Summary
Hand made marionette mechanism used to operate a medium sized marionette. It was manufactured and operated in Melbourne by Alex and Murray Smith, who performed as part of Le Forgeron Marionettes from 1930 until 1956.
Physical Description
Wooden mechanism used to control puppets. Consists of central piece of wood with two beams attached- one beam is stationary whereas the other is able to move with the aid of a piece of rope. Puppet strings are attached to the ends of each beam. There are small metal loops attached to the end of each piece of wood.
