The dies for this medal were never hardened. Medals exist only uniface and in two forms, electrotype (NU36397 and NU 36398) and gutta-percha (NU22163 and NU 36396).
Physical Description
A round electrotype medal in black wooden frame (154 mm dia). At the centre the conjoined busts of the four allied sovereigns, Prince Regent (later George IV of Great Britain), Francis II (of Austria) , Alexander I (of Russia) and Frederick William III (of Prussia); around above on a rainbow, Apollo advancing left (towards the constellation Gemini indicating the month when the battle occurred) in a quadriga bearing a flaming torch (restoring daylight), to left of portraits Justice seated with inverted sword, to right Hercules seated on lionskin blocking the Furies below him in a cave; below, Night flees to right in a fast chariot watched by three Fates who sit below Justice.
