Summary

Colour poster advertising Kodak cameras, printed around the 1930s. The advertising slogan is 'Better Snapshots are Easier Now with New Body-Release Kodaks'. It features an illustration of a woman in a sundress lying on grass holding a folding Kodak camera.

The poster is held in a scrapbook compiled by Kodak Australasia. The scrapbook contains 37 colour, and black and white promotional leaflets, posters, stickers, negative and print envelopes, postal packaging for the Australian Photographic Review magazine, and trade circulars produced before World War Two. The leaflets promote point of sale, merchandising and advertising material, sales campaigns and sales tips for Kodak dealers. They also promote specific Kodak products such as film and cameras, processing services, as well as advertising the Kodak International Salon of Photography. In addition, various leaflets promote photographic competitions and celebration sales for Australia's 150th anniversary celebrations.

This poster is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials and working life artefacts from the Kodak factories in Melbourne. This collection dates from the late 19th century to the early 21st century and was acquired in 2005 when the Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd factory in Coburg closed down.
