Flexowriters could be used as offline punches and printers. A programmer could type data on a Flexowriter, which would punch the data onto paper tape. The tape could then be loaded into the computer as data for a program. The computer could then use its output 5-hole punch to produce paper tape that could be printed by a Flexowriter.
