Summary
'Report of the Executive Commissioner on the Melbourne International Exhibition, 1880-81', written by NSW commissioner Sir Arthur Renwick and published by Thomas Richards, NSW Government Printer, in 1881. The Report provides a detailed, illustrated account of NSW's presence at the Melbourne International Exhibition (MIE).
The International Exhibition ran from 1 October 1880 to 30 April 1881. The (Royal) Exhibition Building, designed by Joseph Reed and built by David Mitchell, was especially constructed for the occasion. Over 1.3 million people visited the MIE at a time when Melbourne's population was only around 282,000.

Octavo, black leather bound book with six photographic plates and two folding plans. Gold embossed border on cover and detail on spine. Marbled end papers.
