A glass-blowing plant was on display during the exhibition. It was set up in a section of the arena.

The avenues within the Royal Exhibition Building were named after Australian flora. Besides industry, the nation's artistic side was also represented, a photographic competition being the largest in Australia.

The maritime wireless company erected a wireless plant and a huge search light was worked from the apex of the dome. This was thought to be an advertising medium.
