Summary

Weirs Turbo Feed Pump in the Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd Power House, Coburg, circa 1961. The pump is the centre of photo just to the right of the ladder and the fuel pump skid is in the right foreground.

This is a steam turbine driven pump, which was useful for boiler start ups and could supply water in the event of a power failure. There were also electric motor driven pumps for for each boiler (Electrofeeders). Water was fed to the two John Thompson - Hamworthy fuel oil boilers in the Boiler Hall by these high pressure feed pumps.
