Summary
Black and white photograph of the switch gear or electrical control station the Boiler Hall of the Power House (Building 11) of the Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd Coburg factory complex during the construction phase circa 1961. The switch gear panel was part of the boiler operator's monitoring and control station. This panel contained circuit breakers, electrical load meters and start-stop buttons for electrical motor-driven water feed pumps and boiler draft fans which needed to be operated remotely.
This photograph is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
